I have closed my childcare on 12/1/2019 and do not plan to re-open.
Joyful Journey's Childcare helps children learn and develop by striving to provide a safe, loving and educational environment every day. I have a clear understanding of child development and children’s everyday needs. I appreciate the differences in each child with a loving and patient attitude while building trust and respect. My goal is to provide an atmosphere filled with positive reinforcement to develop confidence and self-esteem in children. I offer a variety of activities which will prepare them for a lifetime of educational growth, love for learning, and to instill lifelong values. My program is unique because we instill faith-based values daily. I use my entire home as a shared spaced and your child will feel at home and part of the family. It is important to find a suitable safe place for your children while you have to be apart. My exceptional parent communication and routines sets your mind at ease when leaving your child. I look forward to being a part of your child’s growth and development. |
I was a stay at home mom for 7 years before returning to work and I was involved with the local moms club. I started out working part time while my son was in preschool as a enrichment teacher for a company called Travel Tots. I went to 18 different local daycares teaching a one hour class for children ages 2-6. The classes were different each week with Geography, Motion, Story & Song and Science and a different country was themed each month. In the 18 months of teaching for Travel Tots I began subbing for many of the providers that I worked at. After both of my sons were in school full time, I decided to open my own home daycare and was licensed in Nov. 2011.
My family enjoys being active with the community and with Northgate Church in Ramsey. We currently are both leading small groups with the kids program at our church, and have been doing so since our youngest son began Sunday school at age 3. I have been the nursery coordinator in the past and was a nursery employee at our former church. I am currently a part of team of people that facilitates the weekend kids programs and we have been involved with our small group doing bible studies, outreach and service projects for over 10 years. |
My husband Ryan is a self employed with a home improvement business he has owned since 2001. He has coached all of our kids sports and began coaching baseball at the high school level in 2013. He started an amateur baseball team in Rockford, MN and has been a player/manager/coach for the team since 2001 and has just retired from playing in 2015. He is now on the board for ARAA baseball and football and all kids just LOVE him!! Ryan has been a 2nd adult caregiver for my daycare, but is no longer kept trained in the 16 hours per year required for him to be a "caregiver". He is available to sub for me if ever needed.
My older boys are both very active kids doing 3 sports each a year...baseball, football and basketball. They both do 2-3 summer camps a year and are very well liked kids! Morgan 11/03/02 Marshal 4/10/06 and We had our 3rd son Murphy 3/9/15 |
